How To Write A Invitation For Church Anniversary

Role of a parish pastoral council

The following entitled "Wanted" and was primarily aimed at the parish Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to Ottawa. One reason as the blog post is that sometimes there is nothing like a very concrete example to better understand a general concept.

"We're looking for parishioners and parishioners who would like to enlist as members of parish pastoral council of the Nativity. If, after reflection and prayer, you feel that this is not an appropriate way for you to serve the parish, perhaps you'll have the good sense to encourage someone else to do.

What the parish pastoral council or CPC? Let us first the distinction between the CPC and various committees of the parish. Committees each have an area of responsibility, a specific job to do, they are action-oriented. MPC, it is a Council, his job is to think and act if necessary. His responsibility is very broad: to ensure that all of life and the future of the parish.

The various committees of our parish are all very vibrant and promising life. A CPP is strong yet very important at this moment here in the history of our parish, we are called to take a new turn sharing our priests with our two sister parishes.

The role of the CCP is threefold:

- It should represent the parish at the unit level, region and diocese.

- must adjust the pastoral priorities of the diocese, region and unity in our parish situation.

- It must, above all, promote the life of our parish and guide its future.

Its responsibility is primarily at the level of reflection, representation and guidance, but may decide to initiate and coordinate projects that stimulate the parochial sense of belonging and identity that strengthen our parish. For example, a mobilizing and unifying project for the year 2008-2009 would be the 50th th anniversary of the founding of our parish.

Another area that the CPC must focus is the reception and integration of newcomers into the parish, including hosting our two new priests. It will also help parishioners to adapt to a new context: checking how they are feeling, informing, answering their questions.

More MPC members will have, the easier it is to share responsibilities based on availability and talents of each and everyone. Even if you already have commitments, please contact us to give your name or for more information. Nothing prevents you from doing a test a few months to see if it's your personal mission parish. "
