January 11: Day of Awareness of human trafficking in the United States


January 11 of each year, the United States, is the day to raise awareness of human trafficking. In 2007 the U.S. Senate made it the "National Day of Human Trafficking Awareness." Several resources prayers and tools are available in English. Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked each year and 80% are women and girls. In addition, 50% are under 18!
