Thank You Notes For Condolences(wording)

The deification

My daughter Anne-Marie asked me to speak of "the doctrine of deification, as an acquaintance is writing a thesis on the subject. The word is synonymous with deification deification (French), theosis (Greek) deiformity (Latin).

God, perfectly happy and self-sufficient in the Trinity, still decided to create free beings endowed with reason and with them to establish a relationship of friendship. Humans have chosen to break the bond of love with their Creator. God then chose to become fully human in Jesus Christ to restore that relationship. The initiative of creation, incarnation, redemption, resurrection, the glorification comes only from God and fully.

Saint Athanasius summed up admirably deification: "God became human so that man might become divine." Jesus is the God-man. The unity between humanity and divinity of Jesus the Second Person of the Holy Trinity is perfect, incomparable, inimitable. Jesus is divine in nature. We humans are divine by participation in the divinity of Jesus. Insofar as we are united to Jesus, we are deified.

Becoming divine is our calling, our reason for being. We are created by God to achieve a union with him that we will participate, as much as possible for created beings to do, at the Paradise Trinity. The love of friendship can only exist between two equals. In Jesus, God wants us to love with a love of friendship, is our equal and made us equals. In Jesus, the one perfect Mediator, God is within our grasp and we are within the reach of God.

In Scripture, the reality of deification is expressed in various ways: we are Christ's body, temple of the Holy Spirit, Christ's brothers, children of God. We also talk about new birth, adoption as sons, sanctification, transformation, assimilation. The latter term means we transformed the image of God insofar as we are similar / Emirates (similar) to Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit.

The deification, which is God's work, is attributed to the Holy Spirit. Risen Jesus is the model of what we are called to become by the grace of God (desired by the Father, through Jesus deserved, accomplished by the action of the Holy Spirit) and the collaboration of each and every one of us . This is beyond our human capacity, but is possible with the help of grace. The ability to see God as He is (as God gives us to heaven, the resurrection) is the largest of all the wonders of creation, because it abolishes the infinite distance between the created and the Uncreated, the creature and the Creator.

This deification is real and current, but now hidden, invisible, hidden, supernatural. This happens in the depths of our being. The body part of our being involved, at the resurrection, this deification, as the deification will total up all our being in all its dimensions. During our life on earth, the Spirit's action does not occur often so obvious or fast, but it can sometimes have an impact in some or even inside the body. These events are significant as a pledge (a glimpse) of what we will be life after the resurrection. But this eternal life, God is already present within us.

The Son is God from all eternity. By our union with Christ by grace alone, we become like him. Without the action of the Holy Spirit, we could become like God, no, nor reach union with God which we call the Trinity, and we intended. By grace, when we see God as we become like him. The more we are united to Christ and we are like him, the more we are united to God and we will be more divine. We can and must cooperate today to our deification enjoying the means at our disposal to live a supernatural life: the sacraments, the word of God, prayer, implementation of the theological virtues and moral commitment, etc..

How To Write A Invitation For Church Anniversary

Role of a parish pastoral council

The following entitled "Wanted" and was primarily aimed at the parish Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to Ottawa. One reason as the blog post is that sometimes there is nothing like a very concrete example to better understand a general concept.

"We're looking for parishioners and parishioners who would like to enlist as members of parish pastoral council of the Nativity. If, after reflection and prayer, you feel that this is not an appropriate way for you to serve the parish, perhaps you'll have the good sense to encourage someone else to do.

What the parish pastoral council or CPC? Let us first the distinction between the CPC and various committees of the parish. Committees each have an area of responsibility, a specific job to do, they are action-oriented. MPC, it is a Council, his job is to think and act if necessary. His responsibility is very broad: to ensure that all of life and the future of the parish.

The various committees of our parish are all very vibrant and promising life. A CPP is strong yet very important at this moment here in the history of our parish, we are called to take a new turn sharing our priests with our two sister parishes.

The role of the CCP is threefold:

- It should represent the parish at the unit level, region and diocese.

- must adjust the pastoral priorities of the diocese, region and unity in our parish situation.

- It must, above all, promote the life of our parish and guide its future.

Its responsibility is primarily at the level of reflection, representation and guidance, but may decide to initiate and coordinate projects that stimulate the parochial sense of belonging and identity that strengthen our parish. For example, a mobilizing and unifying project for the year 2008-2009 would be the 50th th anniversary of the founding of our parish.

Another area that the CPC must focus is the reception and integration of newcomers into the parish, including hosting our two new priests. It will also help parishioners to adapt to a new context: checking how they are feeling, informing, answering their questions.

More MPC members will have, the easier it is to share responsibilities based on availability and talents of each and everyone. Even if you already have commitments, please contact us to give your name or for more information. Nothing prevents you from doing a test a few months to see if it's your personal mission parish. "

Best Upconvert Blu Ray Player

most adorable

One of my rewards for attending the Eucharistic Congress International 2008 in Quebec is a memory I've bought myself, the volume "Just a faith / Mary and the Eucharist among the founders of New France", published by Anne Sigier by a group of five specialists under the direction of Mrs. Theresa Nadeau-Latour. As the title suggests, this is a series of studies on the Marian and Eucharistic faith of our founders: the first Jesuits, Marie de l'Incarnation, Catherine de St. Augustin and François de Laval.

I walk in my reading, is currently in the company of Mary of the Incarnation with Ms. Nadeau-Lacour as a guide. After exploring the relationship of Mary with the Virgin Mary Guyart, it presents an analysis of its Eucharistic spirituality. There are many long quotations from Relations and Correspondence.

I was struck by the use of the word "most adorable" I noticed in the expressions "most adorable Savior" and "most adorable Word Incarnate." This word previously unknown to me the meaning of which is obviously superlative "very cute", "extremely adorable" encouraged me to do a Google search. Marie Guyart is not the only of its time to use that word, but its use is common among them. I note, in bulk:

- unit most adorable, ineffable, incomprehensible

- the most adorable Spirit of Jesus

- the most adorable Heart of Jesus

- the most adorable person

- the most adorable and divine Master

- the most adorable mystery of the Most Holy Trinity

- the most adorable Majesty

- my most adorable Husband

Here are some things that struck me about the faith and practice of Eucharistic Marie Guyart. She took communion every day at a time when it was not usual. Her mystical experiences were so vivid that one wonders if his faith had not become a certainty. I quote: "When everybody told him all that is in the Host is not the most adorable Incarnate Word, she would die for sure it's him. "(Relation of 1654). Like Mother Teresa, she remade her strength wastewater service to the next in Holy Communion and at the foot of the Blessed Sacrament. For her, Christ in the Eucharist is the food of his interior life and apostolic life.

Nowadays, we do not take the spiritual path of the victim ("I gave myself to God victims"), but if we try to understand, we see that it is for Marie Guyart a way to unite to the Sacrifice of Jesus who is offering, perfect gift of self, she herself expresses a clear intention: "Offer me continually Host to the Eternal Father on the heart of his beloved Son. "Towards the end of her life, she insists:" I want neither for you nor for me a perpetual victimhood. "

Marie de l'Incarnation was not the kind external devotions, but it reveals, at the insistence of his son Dom Claude Martin, the "Prayer to the Eternal Father by the most adorable Heart of Jesus, prayer she does every night for more than thirty 30 years before falling asleep. Here are some excerpts that struck me: "Through the Heart of my Jesus, my Way, my Truth and my life that I approach you, O Eternal Father. [...] I am in spirit around the world to seek all the souls redeemed by the precious blood of my divine Spouse to meet you all in this divine Heart. [...] On this adorable Heart, I present all the workers of the Gospel, that through her merits you to complete your Holy Spirit. How Many Calories In Homestyle Popcorn

I heard the term "Eucharistic wonder" for the first time at the 2008 Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City, mouth of the witness Nicolas Buttet ( priest, founder of the Community Eucharistein, Switzerland).

I searched the Internet and it seems that it was Pope John Paul II would have started it in 2003 in his encyclical Ecclesia de Eucharistia. The Latin word "stupor," which is found in paragraphs 5 and 6, is translated " admiration "in the official French translation of the Vatican.
- Haec ad affectus Perduca cogitatio our magnificent gratique stupor.
Think of this leads us to profound admiration and gratitude .
- Semper oportet hic stupor Ecclesiam pervadat in Eucharistic celebrationis congregatam. This admiration
should always fill the Church assembled in the Eucharistic celebration.
- Illum cupimus Eucharisticum " stuporem " his Litteris Encyclicis rursus excitare.
For this encyclical I would revive this' admiration "Eucharistic.

The Latin word "stupor" and the French word "awe" has several meanings, but one that interests us is precisely that of admiration (= wonder amazement astonishment, amazement, dazzle). Maybe more accurate translation would be "stunned."

Nicolas Buttet's merit is to have stuck to the Latin text by repeating and spreading (popularizing?) Expression "Eucharistic amazement" that is much more powerful and surprising that "Eucharistic amazement".

Non practitioners lack of stupor, but also practitioners, including myself. I confess to being far from feeling of amazement at the greatness of the Eucharistic mystery. I'm pretty jaded, familiar, accustomed. By dint of attending Mass, I became a regular. I no longer have the same consideration, the same esteem for the Sacrament sublime. I lost the wonder of the new husband to his beloved, mother to her newborn.

I have faith, I respect the Eucharistic Mystery, I express with sobriety. I try to be careful during the celebration, I try to communicate by saying my faith in the risen Christ who is the Bread of Life, I believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Host of the Tabernacle. But I admit that I'm so few cases.

How to cultivate in me a sense of amazement at the Eucharist? How to awaken in me a sense of wonder at the amazing presence of the Risen Christ in the Eucharist (Sacrifice, Food, Presence)?

So that we can find strength in faith and worship, Nicolas Buttet invited to attend the Eucharist outside of the Eucharistic celebration. He said that a prolonged exposure to the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to enter gradually into a stupor Eucharist.

No longer exposure the Blessed Sacrament, but exposure to Blessed Sacrament (as it is exposed to the sun burnished skin and vitamin D). This is not to be passively present, but be careful, to pray, to admire, to worship (with words and beyond words.)

I should feed my respect, for it takes strength and becomes wonder and adoration, amazement grateful. It would be challenging for me (against nature), but take an hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament is probably an effective way to wake up and become a marvel. Lord, I'm wanting you to give me Energy bring myself to take the means to take action and persevere.
